can anyone tell me some green lanes in north wales. I know about the wayfarer one but that is all. im thinking of doing the wayfarer tomorrow but what other routes are around north wales

Mate i doubt if anyone will give that kind of info out fella. Your better of asking if you can tag along with a group who may be out in North wales.

If you read some of the other threads you'll understand why We don't give that info out freely. We spend a lot of time finding these lanes getting it touch with councils ect, ect.

Keep an eye on the green lanning section to see if anyone is planning a trip.

I thought that would be the case it is just the area im after so I can find some my self and check with the ROW officer/counciler to see if there still legal. ive heard there is about 20 in chirk but not sure if that is true.

sorry if this post comes up a thew times if I quoted something it didn't look to be uploading it.

Just email/snail mail a letter to your ROW team or the area your interested in and ask them under the freedom of information act for any information on PROW in the area.

Simples.

But its a good idea to get names and numbers, that way it becomes a bit more friendly and you can work up a rapport.

Then when you want to go out just ask (insert name) if there is any changes in status on lanes and ask for an update on any current TRO's in the area.
ou have to be careful of your county boundaries though. make sure you speak to them all and dont assume.

Good point that .. 'specially in Wales! Some of the lanes cross county boundaries regularly, with the consequent change of 'ownership'.

Powys, Ceredigion, Conwy, Gwynedd, Denbighshire especially ... so many lanes going from one to the other .. ;)
