hi guys new to site but finding it great i live in swansea wales and i am looking to try some green lanes could anyone suggest somewhere local please

Get Landranger OS map 170. There are a few BOATs either side of the Afan valley. Just east of Aberdulais you've got the start of Sarn Helen, which I think is still open during the months of June, July and August to Dyffryn Cellwen. I think the other sections of Sarn Helen are closed now. You could easily run into trouble on these lanes so best not to go alone unless you know what what a Landy can and can't do and you yourself really know what you're doing and have some recovery gear.

hi guys im from pontarddulais maybe you know where it is i have never been on a green lane before so an easy drive to start would be nice where is the gower one??

i havent driven it as yet, its not far from parkmill. it was driven by lro about 2 years ago when thay drove round the coast of wales. from what i could see in the pics at the time it look an easy non damage lane. theres 1 or 2 in the back roads between hendy and llannon, thay are legal, but at one end you come out by a house, so best to be nice ;) . bont, not far from me then.

Sorry to open up old threads, i went looking for the gower lane earlier. i started up the entrance to parc le breos until i came to a small car park for the Parkland park.
Off the car park was a track with a green barrier across the front but not padlocked, is this the start of the said lane.
