Just done my first green lane in Sharpenhoe, Beds. BOAT open from April to October only. great fun shame it wasn't a bit wetter. anyone know any other lanes around the Luton area. would'nt mind meeting up as I don't fancy getting stuck on my own.

There's a nice 1 between Steppingley and the A507 (where they are trying to get planning permission for centre parks). Also for a challenge, try the Santa Pod one!

Thanks for that, I shall give them a go. How challenging is the Santa Pod lane? Too dodgy to go it alone or not?

I've done it alone in a 110. You have to pick your way in places but it's worth it. There are some really good routes to follow.

do you fancy giving the Santa Pod one a go again in a couple of weeks time? just in case of getting stuck, good to go with someone else.

Sorry; not been online 4 a while. Unfortunately the council close the byway fro 1st Oct - April (according to the sign). I assume they will lock the gates!

Yes Santa Pod byway now closed (the woman I met there from the council wants to tarmak it!)

I suppose it will make it a bit quicker to get to the drag strip. I look forward to next april then to give it a go. If you know any other good ones please let me know.
