Recently acquired Series 2a SWB after being LR-less for 30 years! That was a S3 LWB run as my only vehicle. The 2a is interesting in that it was originally supplied by Searle of Sunbury-on-Thames, the Carawagon conversion people, but mine hasn't had the full camper conversion though is fitted with a safari roof, Alpine lights and, fixed, side windows all of which look original. It also has a roof access ladder and there's evidence it was fitted with a full length rack. Can't help wondering if it was spec'ed for an expedition when new. Unfortunately no info. in the file that came with the truck.

For reasons far too complicated to go into I've got a new-and-unused (all components still wrapped as supplied) Ashcroft transfer box O/D kit (complete with an Ashcroft supplied/modified transfer box case) which I'm unlikely to get around to fitting any time soon. Whilst the gear kit is readily available 'off the shelf' I understand that good transfer cases are difficult to get hold of which for many people can stymie there plans to do the conversio. I will list in the 'parts sale' forum if anyones interested.

Yer'll need 50 posts before yer can sell the box. Nice of yer to offer it to a fellow owner on ere.

The gaydon motor museum may have info on yer tratter. They have an archive. Or try searching for it's id online. Like reg plate.
