Is anyone going to this event/show? I was looking to see what I could expect from it, but I've not seen any posts about this years event on here...

Is it worth a visit?
What can I expect from my first Land Rover Show?

Thanks in advance

Its much smaller than the big summer shows. All the stalls are inside. All selling stuff. Upgrade options, bling and tools. There's a small oft road course anorl. Yer can stand and watch. It can be rough on vehicles. FL2 lost its plastic door bottom trim. D2 lost a side runner step. D3 took out bottom front section of bumper. They go and look for damaged bits and return them. Not all of it down to driver error. Video's on youtube.

If you've got a defender and go in it expect it to be stripped of any bling bits in the carpark while you're looking around as this has been a fairly common problem at some land rover shows :p

The stoneleigh show is much smaller so peeps are entering and leaving the car park all the time. Theres a lot more peeps wandering about.

The scotland lr show has one or more vehicles nicked and driven out each year. A number of other shows have had reports of lights/doors/bonnets/winches etc being nicked. The easy solution is to leave someone in yer vehicle to watch out.

It should be remembered the thefts are funded by lr owners wanting to nick parts to go on their own vehicle. Or they're happy to buy second hand, knowing it could be stolen. Like buying from someone who has 7 puma bonnets for sale in perfect condition.

Wow, that is bad news! :(

You wouldn't have thought that someone could get away with that without been seen by someone!!

One of the shows was asking for a password to get yer vehicle out. Not sure which show. Its a similar problem at caravan sites. Leave yer shed for a day and someone can tow it away.

I'll be taking to the muddy parts so better leave the Ibiza at home and take the D2. Otherwise i'll be leaving the Ibiza there and getting a lift home.
Then again with all the rain this week i might be leaving the D2 behind as it has no locking centre diff and i'm not sure the TC works other than making a strange noise

It was a nice small show. A few nice examples of Series and Defenders along with newer Green Ovals
I managed to pick up a few things including a pair of new stainless vents for the wing tops :D
