Defender pulling to the right.

Went to free off pistons on N/S front calliper only to find the inside of the disc covered in grease and pads had soaked grease up.

Looked closer and saw grease coming from hub area...black...just like swivel grease!

Is there a specific seal I need to order and replace do you know?

Now had a hub apart yet, but I suppose at the same time I may as well change/ at least grease wheel bearings too?

Thanks

Assuming the disc isn't worn out you should be able to clean it. The brake pads will need changing though, and it's probably best to change the ones on the other side at the same time to keep things even. I assume the seal in question is the one at the back of the hub - that's what usually leaks. But it could be leaking out of the gasket between the stub axle and the swivel housing too I suppose. The hub casting doesn't usually deteriorate, but the bit of the stub axle that the seal bears on can get pitted. It's usually easier to replace the entire stub axle if that has happened.

Just watched a 55 minute tutorial on youtube because I am yet to work on a Defender axle.

It appears the only place the swivel grease can be coming from is a failure in the gasket between the stub axle and the swivel housing?
