It would help to know more about the vehicle, petrol, diesel, mileage, service history, quality of maintenance, tyres matching, basically the more information the better.

was the noise from under the car or in the engine bay, i wonder if it was the throttle body sticking? as above what FL 2 is it TD4 or petrol
