The old belt looks a bit past it, so I'm quietly hoping a new one will cure it.

Failing that it's ear plugs, because it's much worse when wet. And I have a feeling wet is one thing it will definitely get on Sunday.

I think you may find the wet has some mud attached to it. Gonna be alot of cleaning next week.

Yep. The neighbours will love me.

Will go for a fast splash through Watery Gate in Barwell on the way back and see if that'll shift atleast some of the crap underneath.

Last time I went I drove as fast as possible through the ford at Coughton several times and it made sod all difference! ... Granby mud is clay and very sticky. Took me an hour to jet wash the Landy on the drive and then two hours to wash the road for the neighbours

Delightful, I can't wait

No there is one Dan, Matt and me washed off last time :D

I'll see if I can find it on the map

Have you got Dan or Matts number if I cant find it??

Did you? Oh ... I remember crossing a dry one on the way there when you were following
Coolio ... Funkykipper will find it then, we'll all follow him afterwards :D

I do have Matt (Big Ginga Beards) number if you need it too. ;)

Sorted all the jobs on the Defender, and cleared all the crap that always seems to accumulate in the back for no particular reason... perks of having a van!

Drivebelt is now nice and quiet with the new one on. Checked the CB's SWR as I hadn't done so in nearly a year, and it was actually better than I remember it last time?!

Got just under a quarter of a tank of the black stuff, loaded up the recover gear and secured it all down, got my spare SWR meter, patch cable, and artificial ground plane loaded up and I think I'm all sorted now!

Proper looking forward to it now too. Apart from the LRO shows this will be my first pay & play!

Bit of advice please guys as this is my first time.

Nipples greased on CV 's and propshafts, oils checked and topped up in engine, diffs and swivels.

Wading plugs are in and secure, mostly secured down with stuff in the back.
Have I missed anything I need to do before playing?

Topping up with diesel on the way down

Its a 200tdi by the way
