Got no CAT, but got an MOT

Just thought i'd share this for info only really, there was a thread a little while back about Disco's with the CAT removed passing/failing the MOT - There seemed to be a difference of opinion. Well, I have removed the EGR and the CAT and mine went thru the MOT today without any issues. Which was good news for me. Mine is a 300Tdi with 162k on the clock.
Just thought i'd share it incase anyone else is in a similar situ.

It would only need to pass the same smoke test as any earlier diesel... don't need a cat. or EGR to do that. It's post 2001 (err... I think) that emissions testing for diesels came in.

Still good news on yer MOT though... nothing else wrong with it at least

yeah, always dood news when she goes thru first time, just the one advisory for corrosion on middle exhaust section, which aint no great shakes.
