Some of you may seen by previous post in regards to OS Maps on an iPhone. After reading many reviews on this App, I think I will wait before I rush out and buy a new phone.
HOWEVER - I have since downloaded google maps for my Nokia from the official google site using the handset. This is compatiable with both Windows Mobile and Symbian devices.
I have a Nokia and so far I am impressed. It lets you plot routes with text instructions (no voice as yet, which is a pity). What I like about it though is that you can sync your places (starred places) between your desktop and mobile device. So in theroy you could plot a byway easily.
Another little thing I like, but I have yet to try it properly is it shows where your friends are also LIVE. Great for those who get left behind on convoys or go steaming off ahead - we have all been there at least once.
Anyway thought I put this post up as I think it is a good bit of kit and its FREE.
