Nice L322? No such thing IMO.
I miss the soft ride of the p38 and the rrc on its long, soft springs, but the l322 is pretty good so far, i might complain every 5 mins like a hypocondriac on speed but so far it's been ok.. now I've said that it'll break down/try to burn me to death mid winter and 100 miles from anywhere🤣🤯🙄

“… as well looked after as this one…”
Interesting photo of the engine bay - here it is, with my GEMS one also attached..
I don’t think my engine bay is particularly clean, just normal, but it is interesting to compare.
Did you get the full £800 on offer from Snut?

As I said, not mine.
Your engine bay looks mint.
This one wasn't perfect cosmetically but it never wanted for anything mechanically.
Anyway, it's gone now. He got about a grand for it trade in.

Someone is going to get a bargain at auction when the dealer chops it in.

Generally I beware "too clean" engine bays. When we went to view the FL1 TD4 my son bought, the engine looked as clean as that GEMS picture. Two weeks later the intercooler pipe leaks had re-deposited oily crap everywhere. I reckon they cleaned it, and never drove it until sale time !!
Good point. I clean the bay but I also drive the car. But not on muddy tracks or when there is salt on the roads…

Probably the only project work will be the inevitable breakdowns.
He really has looked after this.
It had a short motor just after he got it, it just recently had heads done.
All new airbags a couple of years ago if I recall.
It's on lpg.
He waxoyls it every year.
He even pulls all the multiplugs and cleans them then sprays contact lubricant on them every year or so.
He used to tow his big twin axle caravan to Spain every winter with it but the brexit rules have made that more difficult and he's getting on a bit so wants something newer and more reliable.
Apart from a few bits of window trim it really is a lovely car.
Seriously tempted myself but I've just moved house and the new house needs a lot of work so I can't afford it and I don't have time to look after it.
He's got it on for 3k but I think he's open to reasonable offers.

If you click on the link you should see the pics.

By the way, the reg number is now GL51KMA for those who want to check the history
