Good enuff alternator?

Hey guys!

I have a standard alternator on my Disco 200tdi in me defender (45amp i think)

Is this alternator good enough to charge both main batt and the lesure batt i use to power my winch? (Its on a split charger)

It 'seems' to work fine but tbh iv not really had to use the winch under extremes yet!

Just want to know if its (The alt) doing the job enough before im in the situation where i find out weather it is....... or not

I think it should be a 65amp one. It will probably be ok if you are doing occasional winching but if you are in any competitions or likely to be winching for a long time I would look out for an 80 or 90 amp one from a v8 Rangerover.

Thats the only thing my second batt runs (Winch) im not running any spots or extras.
