Now then,
yes its another newb!
about 2 years ago A mate of mine mentioned he was getting back into trailing and was building a CCV trailer, a 80" coiler with a 3.9 EFI V8 and auto box. It was christened cannon fodder, due it its owners hand having some misfortune with a cannon!
I volunteered to help wire in the electrics. 3 months later, I was much more informed and wiser about landrovers than I was, and got really interested.
He invited us to its first trial and let me drive, was hooked straight off! For a year I competed in the vehicle, till eventually I thought " enough scrouging, get your won motor!"
last month I got my hybrid coiler, 200TDI, defender truck cab on the road. It was originally a CCV trials vehicle, but it had most of the lights and trimmings, so it with a bit of wiring, I managed to make it pass its MOT.
A donor motor and some waves of paperwork later, it was on the road. Its purpose was so I could drive to trails, compete and drive back.
so far its doing well. Plans for the future are a bigger fuel tank, wheel mounts for spares and some home comforts inside.
I've occasionally come on this forum from the odd google search and has been a good source of help, guides and advice.
so hello!
