When I bought my Defender 90 about 7 years ago it had a 3" Terrafirma lift kit on it, which I kept. It has been very good and must be pre-whatever they did to get a bad reputation. I replaced the rear shocks a couple of years ago and they are now very rusty, the original fronts are still looking great.

However I want to go back to standard height as I no longer do any off roading in that vehicle. Currently it has the Terrafirma +3" kit on it, Terrafirma rear shock mounts, 6 degree castor corrected radius arms, not sure if the trailing arms are corrected or not.

Am I right in assuming I will need to source some standard rear shock mounts and replace the radius/trailing arms with standard?

Also I cannot decide what brand of suspension to go for. Any suggestions? I will also be adding a front anti-roll bar

Many thanks!

I know Britpart has a bad reputation, but I have fitted Britpart springs and shocks to my 110 CSW. I would recommend them to anyone who asks about suspension.

Yes, you will need standard shock mounts, standard radius arms, and standard trailing arms (if the current ones are cranked). You will also need all of the things that break when you are replacing suspension parts, such as turret rings and potentially turrets depending on how rusty your current ones are.

Brand wise, I would stick with OEM for both springs and shocks, however if you are on a budget I will echo @mick 1986 and recommend britpart shocks. I had them on mine for 4 years, and they were great. They were only replaced after one of them started to leak after its second trip around the Moroccan desert!

Cheers, I will go for a complete replacement. Done a few D2's recently and I know only too well about stuff breaking!! o_O

Seems to be very easy to get cranked radius/trailing arms but not so easy to get standard ones!

YRM do galvanised standard arms. I’m not sure on the price, only seen them in the workshop.

Second hand is probably your best bet as people remove them to fit the cranked versions!
