Hello all,
While at the landrover convention i decided to treat my landy 90 to a set of
nice cobra seats. And a great lockable centre console.
I am still waiting for my checkerplate flooring to arrive to which the
subframes will sit on.
Apart from moving the battery from under the passenger seat,Has anyone here
invented a good way of getting to the battery without having to remove the
seat to gain access?.
As ever,All answers appreciated.

what do you want to get to the battery for?. if its only for
jumpstarting, then you can get a big heavy duty plug in connector that
you attach to your battery on a bit of battery lead.
leave it there coiled under the seat or something, and then get a pair
of jump leads with the same connector on one end so you can connect to
an external battery.

I cant find a picture of one anywhere on the internet, but have got em
on my landy where the battery is under the seat.

Why do you need to get to it?

Batteries don't generally need any routine maintenance these days, and
should last 2-3 years easily. Doesn't seem any great hardship having to
unbolt a seat every couple of years!

You can install an inline shutoff switch to isolate the battery, and if you
position it right you will be able to access the terminals for jump starting
if necessary.

when I put a V8 in our series II swb I also put chrysler car seats in. to
mount them I made up some brackets that were hinged at the front so I could
tilt them to get to the battery.
The drivers side didnt tit much as the steering wheel was in the way but the
passenger side tilted ample to get to the battery.

They're called Anderson connectors, I'd recommend this setup as well.

Never tried it myself, but hinged at the front seats, A la Disco 3 door,
with a hinged flap to cover the battery, maybe ?
