Problem with the horn on a Defender 1999 TD5 as in it wont work. The horn sounder works when directly connected to a battery but when connected in the circuit doesnt work. Is there a fuse or relay for the horn circuit as i cant seem to find one, or is it more likely to be the horn switch itself?. Cheers.

pretty sure horn is fused, but will be other stuff on the same circuit - anything else not working? Fuse position 2 rings a bell, but currently 440 miles away from my Landy to check!
If fuse Ok could easily be contacts on steering stalk, or broken wire
EDIT: Position 2 comment may be rubbish. Missed yours is a TD5 (mine's a 300 TDi) - don't know if they changed the fuse layout between models
