Genuine Roof Bars

Hello all,

Just go meself some roof bars from fleabay - joker who sold 'em to me says they are "Lockable" but didn't send me the keys, now not answering e-mails - GIT!!

Two questions if I may? 1) Can the keys only be obtained from a main dealer and 2) Do the roof bars fix securely without locking them?

1) The locks should have a number stamped on them - it's a simple key, try yer local key cutter.

Thanks for the fast reply, the thing is I don't know what the keys look like to compare them, I've got the number so that's not a problem

Had this problem myself only a few weeks ago.

The key could only be purchased from the main dealer and was £12.00. They had to order it in and it took about a week.

I tried everywhere to get a key cut for it and even the big names in key cutting couldn't help.

The bars need the key for them for fit properly. They clamp on and make for a really tight fit.

Cheers guys, went in to loal branch of "Timpson" key cutters & shoe repairers. He found the type of key but had to order them from the number on the bars - 2 days and £12. Plus if they don't work I get me money back!

Sounds good to me, I'll let you know how I get on. (Git on Ebay now has neg feedback )
