Genuine defender LR side steps

Hi all
Just purchased some used genuine side steps for a Defender ,does anybody know what size rivnut is required for fitting support strut to chassis .

I could be wrong here, cos I'm thinking back to my old chassis, but IIRC mine had bolts that went right through the chassis leg?
