what are the legalities.for cross members under gearbox can I make a stonkin fat one or does it have to conform?

make ya own bob as long as its up to the job , ill be doing the same with mine when i get chance , sod buying one when its just thin tube . .
anyway its under the vehicle so it wont stick into peds legs lol so no legal crap . as long as its doing what its intended to do for strength and the weldings good and its secure then theres no probs .

had a look .reckon if eggsauce is routed closer to the gearbox mounts I could extend the width that way rearwards .reckon articulation on front prop way not leave much room for extending the width that way.

you wont be able to go far forwards as you know , but well placed box section would sufice ( look at a disco X member thats only box + the gearbox is mounted on it too ... .
Whats your idear then to beef it up bob ? , adds more weight at the end of the day ....

not bothered bout the weight as its a hack wagon.mostly empty or tool box for tratter.
occasional dead body ya know....
wantr ta beef it up for draggin ****e as them granite posts are well heavy.lash em to the tow bar and wedge em up the drag em so they stand and drop in holes.Fookin duff tratter drivers need bigger gateways these days and re fitting cornish posts is tough.dont want to twist me chassis.Pickmyring did his and twisted the rear member right off silly ****..ha hhahahah
