Gearbox/Transfer Case Oil

Hi all,

Bit of a technical question.

Our 90 has the LT77 gearbox, and LT230 transfer box.

Is it true that you can use the same oil in the transfer box as in the gearbox?

We have some Fuchs Titan ATF D3 for the gearbox, and I am wondering if this will be ok in the transfer box, or if I should use EP90. I have dowloaded the manual, and it seems to suggest that the gearbox oil can be used in the Transfer Box, but I am unsure.

transfer is 90 better option than atf on main box is syn mtf

Transfer box needs 80W/90, the same you use in your axles. The gearbox needs ATF. Thanks

Will use the ATF only in the Gearbox, and will buy some more EP90 for the Transfer Box. Have already got some for the diffs and swivel housings as am about to do a full service.
