Gearbox/transfer box oil 1988 LR 90

Good afternoon ALL,

I've searched all though the past posts as i believe this subject has been touched on but i can't find an answer.

Does anyone know what gearbox i have and what oil i need and transfer box oil

Its a 1988 90 2.5. 4c 19j engine.

Is there a website that I can upload my vin etc?

ATF or MTF94 for the gearbox (its still an ongoing debate for the last 35 years or so) GL4 EP90 for the transfer box, which will also do axles and swivels

Yes so I've been learning over the last hour or so.

Do you have a preference on the ATF... Google brings so many types up... I'd rather by a type that's been used before

I use Millers and/or MOTUL, both give excellent performance. Don't buy in small bottles as expensive, it's worth changing all ATF at same time and buy larger size container, decanting into smaller or pump directly.

Millers also do very good quality diesel engine oils
