Hi All,
Long time user, or rather reader, of these pages, for keeping my Freelander Mk1 TD4 and my P38 Rangie on the road.
Now I'd like to ask for a little advise please.
My Freelander [2003] TD4 expired a couple of months ago. Blocked turbo breather, leading to the engine running on its own oil. :-(
Never mind, not to be beaten I've bought another engine to put in and am half way through the process.
But, I've just pulled off the DMF from the 'new' engine to find there is no gearbox tip bearing in the end of the crank, there is one on my old engine. So, my question is, should there be one? If so anyone have a part number or spec for the bearing?
Oh, and while I'm on here, what's the best way to clean the injectors? I have an ultrasonic bath, that I use for petrol injectors, but didn't know if there was any reason why this wouldn't be a good idea for diesel ones.
Many thanks, in advance
Thanks
Tim
