P38A Gearbox queries

I'm off to look at a diesel p38 which is cheap. The seller has told me that it has the following issues. Central locking isn't a worry but gearbox ideas would be appreciated.

Had a no show so it’s still available. It currently has no mot, needs new tyres, gearbox and the remote central locking doesn’t work.. the problem with the gear box might be a simple fix but basically it doesn’t go from 3rd to 2nd but will go from 1st to 2nd, other gears are fine.

Don't touch ! Diesels have the weak box. Chip em and this can happen. Buy one with "minor issues" .....like a head gasket!

if its not bias spring positioning gear stick box needs a rebuild with new baulk rings

Bizarrely it'll go 1-5 with no issues but coming back down the gears it won't go 3-2 but will change down the rest??

quite common lower synchros get the hardest wear

For 200 quid, enjoy it until the gearbox falls off. Well worth it I would say
