Gearbox problem now!

Hi I have picked up a 110 with the 19j engine in it. When I picked it up I was told that it had died on the m4 and had been towed to the garage anyway I didn't have time to look at it so just stuck it on the trailer and towed it home. Well today I went out to have a look a quick squert of easy start and away it went but there are no gears? The gearbox rattles like a bag of spanners and if I hold the lever hard into where 2 nd should be it will try to move before just grinding. I take it that the box is shot is it commen to loose all gears like that? Thanks

mate had similar on his 110.
center had ripped out of clutch plate.
he bought another gear box before stripping old one out.

mine went on Tuesday aswell same problem. reconditioned gearbox from Ashcroft transmissions is going in mine. bloody thing.
