Gearbox noise and maintenance

Have a F reg V8 90 and need some help working out what gearbox is fitted and then which oil i need to top it up with as i am hoping (fingers and toes crossed) that more oil will help with the 'cement mixer' noise in neutral.

if its 5speed aliminum case lt85 engine oil,if its cast steel with ali back end lt77 atf

Thanks for that, will be under taking a look first thing tomorrow.

Hopefully it will tone down the noise a bit.

noisy layshaft brgs ,allother gears are driven through layshaft 4th gear is just cp (input shaft) locked to main shaft giving straight through drive ,no,load on layshaft
