Gearbox fault help needed

Hi lads,

a mysterious gearbox fault has decided to show up. It's infrequent. When I drove off today it would only select 1st gear ie wouldn't change gear after it hit 3500rpm. Then the gearbox fault message appears. Now I have noticed the las few days that when I select D or R from P it seems it's been slow to select the gear before pulling off.

So what you think? ATF fluid maybe? There was a new gearbox ecu fitted last September so I know that hasent failed

A new ECU does not mean it might not fail. Electronics fail at random.

Yeah but it's a different kid of problem, the last time it happened it never showed what gear you were in on the dash this time it does. Also this time it's stuck In 1st not 3rd. Also it's intermittant last time when it failed that was it
