Gearbox 1982 S3

We currently have our S3 gearbox apart (and separated from the transfer
box), having replaced the three detent springs: layshaft bearings are also
being renewed.
Has anyone any helpful hints/tips for re-assembly: in particular, in what
order should the shafts be placed into the casing?

Any info gratefully received!
