Can anyone be kind enough to tell me what thread is used on an LT77 gearstick, ‘87 110. I know it’s not metric, looks like an imperial fine of sorts. Need to fit a nut to the gear knob as I’m too tight to buy a new one.
Thanks

I am in the seam position, but don't want to buy a new one because the original has taken 300k miles and 10 years of my ownership to wear to nice comfortable level of smoothness. I don't want to lose that with a shiny new part :p

I would hazard a guess at 1/2" UNF (20 TPI) but worth checking with a thread gauge and calipers. I will have a look in the morning if no one else can confirm :)
