Thats the bugger, either the part fixed to the flat on the xyz or the cable itself has slackened off and lost its ideal position.
As said earlier park position (cable length) is set with selector lever on box set fully clockwise. So that lever on box and gear lever are in park position. Switch position is set with selector shaft on box set two clicks anticlockwise in neutral. Set by a special tool after lever is removed. If lubing does not work, switch needs moving a few thou anticlockwise without positioning tool. Good luck with that.
