Series 3 Gear box problem

Hi I have recently rebiuld my series 3 gearbox and installed it but when i try and put the gearbox in rear wheel drive it goes in to neutral. In 4 wheel drive high and low it is fine. When i press the yellow knod down it takes it out of 4 whell drive but then goes int ot neutral.
Has any body got any ideas as to what could be wrong.

Thanks for that i took the floor back out removed the rubber boot and then i did manage to get it in to high gear. The high / low gear lever needed bending slightly to stop it hitting the bulk head. All good now what a relief didnt fancy taking out again.

Cool. Been a while since I stripped my gearbox , but vaguely remember having to replace the high low stick on mine as it was bent all over the joint !
