Hello all.
I'm new to the world of LR's and recently bought an 02 TD5 Disco. Its got quite a few handy mods and a really capable unit. I'm looking forward to learning more about these capable beasts and meeting fellow LR enthusiasts!

what Mods has yours got? Not wanting to put a damper on things but have you told your insurance company about the mods?

Before @neilly gets in and asks... have you got the EKA code?

As a fellow D2 owner, my first recommendation is, Make sure you got the EKA code.

G'day gents
Thanks for the warm reception!
PP...Its got the following mods:
2 inch Old Man Emu lift kit and shockers
Terrafirma Steering Dampener
ARB front and rear diff lockers and compressor
ARB bullbar and 12000 pound winch
Just to name a few
I took it into our Victorian High Country and it made it through some tough tracks with ease. I used to have a Nissan Patrol before this and that thing struggled on the same tracks. I advised my insurer of the mods and the're ok. Anything over a 2 inch lift here in AUS and they don't like it

Neilly...I actually got my EKA code earlier today as a matter of fact! My Nanocom arrived yesterday and was playing around with it today at my brothers place... He's the Disco nut and persuaded me to buy one! Lol

Yup thats definitely modded for off road use then! We used to have a nissan patrol at work - good fun to drive, and pretty capable off road, but the suspension was quite primative and the ground clearance not great.

Yeah I agree...and I found that mine was a heavy bugger as well.

This was ours -

She was horrendous as an ambulance, but fairly good fun on Salisbury Plain on the training days. The engine (3 litre turbo diesel from memory) had a fair kick to it as well!
