Hi, a chum of mine has done 100,000 miles in a 1.8 petrol gaylander , on the original engine! and it is an old one!
Any one else heard of such a feat?

my saxo vtr (ahem) has done 170,000 miles

on its 4th gearbox 3rd block and 4th head! and 3rd rear beam!:doh:

My grandma had one when they firs came out and the head went after 12000 miles.

Once again, it's that time of year when fairy stories are told

I still have the same hammer that I got when I was an apprentice! It's absolutely original, and it's only ever had 4 new shafts and 2 new heads!!

My FL has its original K engine and is at 97k.
