Gauge for third hole!

I have a blanked off hole in my dash next to the temp gauge. Nature hates a vacuum (except in my wallet), so what should I put in it and where can I get it? Suggestions?

Inclinometer/ compass seems to be the obvious one, but searches come up blank.

I have seen later Defenders which have a classic clock in that hole. Dont know what one would cost and do you really want to be reminded that your running late everytime you look at the dash?

If there was anyway of Defenders supporting it I think a rev counter would be a nice interesting choice.

I have rev counter, boost gauge, and engine temp in my dash pod as these are in my opinion the most important things to keep a beady eye on.
Fuel gauge relocated to centre consol where ciggie lighter used to be.

Rev counter sounds good to me. Are they easy to fit?

Wire from the alt, earth wire, wire for light (taken from connections already there) I would say simple enough

incredibly easy but make sure you specifically get one for a diesel, not an injector one which most of the 52mm ones on fleabay are. (these will read about 4x too high so on the slowest setting it will be telling you that you are doing 3000 rpm on tickover!!)

how about a voltmeter

There is one in the Bearmach catalogue, but no idea on price.

I got a TD5 specific tacho which connects to one of the outputs on the ECU.
Piece of piddle to fit.
