Hi All,

Signed up last night. Changed to a Discovery 2 over a month ago and at last its almost ready! Ah! I hear you say... what went wrong. Well a long story but hears the jist of the saga. Went to see the vehicle as advertised, with two other friends. Wagon seemed to be pretty good... not a trace of rust, ran well and all seemed fine. I insisted on a new MOT and a couple of things like brakes to be done. Owner said he would deliver it to me... wow a saving already!!! No chance. He did deliver it ten days later! Came off the trailer no problem, I ran it around and parked it at the house, did the usual cash etc. Off he went... but the Disco... it wasn't going anywhere... blown engine. After a lot of hassle he came back with my cash and said he would collect it sometime... no this is not a car park. I gave him £200 and told him to go away, and that I would do what I had to do. He did admit that he had blown the other engine and bought a cheapie on ebay and stuck it in !!! Tracked down an engine at Equicar 4x4 ( highly recommended ) and we fitted it at the house. The V8 is perfect it came out of a low milage and fired first time. but now had a lpg problems had to fit new pipes from the tank, all in all it should be on lpg by tomorrow, five weeks after it being delivered.
Ah, the joys of a gas guzzler.
