Galvanised Chassis part two

Just got home after picking up the Landy with its new galvanised chassis.
Phoned the insurance company and they cancelled the insurance saying it was a modification they won't cover !
The cheapest quote from the brokers was £980 !!!
The previous cost was £400 with business cover.
Who do you recommend I get my insurance from ?

We use Admiral. Can't remember if I've told them about my galvanised chassis.

They said that it was a modification !
Marsland chassis so original GKN just galvanised

thanks. So the insurance don’t like it galv because it ups the value they will have to pay out then.

change companies & once rebuilt get an agreed value policy.

Been getting quotes, best one so far is £460, waiting for NFU to get back to me tomorrow.

Chassis already done, managed to get a 7 day period of grace while sorting out the new insurance.
LV don't like galvanised chassis!!!

Flux cover galvy chassis’ and I’m not aware that they charge any more as long as it’s declared. Best to check though...

...cos it would be more expensive to repair, replace or write off the vehicle. Galv costs more, simple as.
But Flux are tw@ts anyway.

And they are a bunch of sh!theads too. Left them when they started refusing to cover my trailer, altho they were happy to for a few years.
