Hi,

I'm thinking of taking my series 3 up to Avon Dassett this weekend on one of their pay and play days... Is it a decent site for a relative newbie to go to? :) I had a look through their gallery early on and it seems there's loads of water (bad for a petrol with no snorkel!) and steep bits that might roll you if you aren't careful or don't know what you are doing (complete with pics of a wrecked jeep to prove it!)

Any (relevant) advice appreciated :)

Cheers

Jon

Hi there, last time I was there over this last Easter week-end there was a Series 111 and he was having a good time but I think he may have been experiened. There are 2 seperate stretches of water. The water stretch nearest the perimeter is deep and you should stay clear of it, however the bit nearest the steep hill in the center is doable. Best advice is to speak to a marshal who should let you know where to go and watch what other people are doing. Please do not be afraid to ask, we were all newbies once.

Best of luck and have a good'un

Cool - thanks for the info :)

I need to fix the brakes on mine, but I'll hopefully get that sorted tonight or tomorrow, so all being well I'll head up there on Sunday :)

its not a bad site to be fair, something different i surpose some good climbs the water this time of year wouldnt be to deep ;)but in a petrol i wouldnt bother. if i get chance might pop up my self for a play. worth a trip id of thought . :)
