Please can anyone advise me. My range rover engine (4.0 Gems) will be coming out on Wednesday to cure an oil leak which it has had since it was fully rebuilt with top hats. The car has had a replacement flex plate but has not had a replacement torque converter. Now the problem is the car has a vibration at around 70 MPH (not massive but enough to take the edge of the drive) and it seems to be there when you accelerate and also seems to be there if you rev the engine to 3000+ when not in drive. Do you think it could be the torque converter car has 153,000 miles on it and changes gear ok. As an aside when the car is ticking over there is a sort of clank noise from somewhere but it is very very quiet. Any help would be great chaps as I would like the torque converter replaced whilst the engine is out if that is the problem. Just one other thing I have noticed the front pulley has a little movement but that could just be the natural movement in the rubber damper. THANKS in advance. James
