full oil change TD5

Well lads,
just tackled a service on the defender td5, with my limited mechanical skills, wasnt hard at all, and im delighted with what ive learned, and that i didnt have to pay to have it done next thing on my list to do is a full oil change, gearbox, diffs etc. can anyone tell me what oils/grease to use where and whether or not ill need special tools? read a thread about this a while back but from what i remember it was about a 300tdi so i presume some things might be different with the td5 model?

T55 torx bit for the gearbox filler plug, MTF-94(I think its in the shed but its to late to go look) for the gear box and ep 80-90 for the diffs. You will need some kind of pump to fill the gear box.

Access to transfer case filler/level plug is a bit tight - uses a 1/2 in square drive - but cannot get straight at it with a 1/2 in extension due to handbrake- found a 1/2 square adapter immediately reducing to a 3/8 socket extension fits OK.

Oil containers with a pull out extension neck make filling easy.

forgot to add a bit of clear plastic hose to go over the oil bottle extension neck will let you empty the oil containers
