Fuel tank

Does anyone know how much my k reg discovery one fuel tank should hold in gallons and how many miles to the gallon i should get roughly.

About 80 litres. (IIRC it's 4.54 litres to the gallon so work it out). 30ish to the gallon should be about normal for a tdi,or **** all for a v8.

As hughesy says......mines on a k plate and holds 86 litres / 19 gallons brimmed and does 30ish if you don't drive like a mad 'un. So you should get roughly 550-600 miles off a full tank.

Cheers hughesy...sorry 200tdi yep. So if i've got this right. My tank holds approx 17 gallons x that by 30 miles per gallon a tank should give me approx 500+ miles or am i working this out wrong ?? sorry to be a nuisance ..

So to fill me tank it should cost about £80 quid~ish ...??# thanks again john.

I can get 80 quid's worth into mine when the guage is showing empty. My last tankful did me for 460 miles but about 120 of that was towing a big trailer with a 2 ton van on it. Fuel consumption depends on a lot of things like tyres, the state of your engine, etc, but mostly how you drive.

this sounds better than 200 miles on a tank o petrol.....
im lookin forward to gettin me doisel going.
