fuel tank sender and engine issues

right put my 200tdi engine in my series, and after about 40 miles of driving it suddenlky started idling very low in a traffic jam, then stalled its self, waited ten mins, fires up fine and revs then two mins later its starts stalling and wont rev, i put this in 200tdi section, people said fuel filter and lift pump,l tried those no luck, i was wondering could it be to do with air getting in from the fuel sender ? as engine was fine with 1/2 tank of fuel but it was at 1/4 it started problem ??:??

I have had them where the stack / pickup pipe in the tank had pin holes in it at the lower end of the pipe so when the fuel was over say half full it ran ok then once the fuel went down it started sucking in air, replaced pickup pipe problem solved, hope this helps

yeh dont mess around haha ! yeh done about 40 miles so far and i dont trust the reliability yet !
