Fuel system

I bought disko with leaking fuel pressure regulator, someone used home made paper gasket instead of original metal. Ok, changed gasket, and to be sure fitted new FPR. Few days was ok, then FPR started to leak just a bit, it looked like body, than few days later FPR ended resulting in serious fuel splash. I dismantled FPR and found one o-ring was damaged. I putted back old one FPR and again few days was ok, but soon it started to leak - now it leaks from small hole in membrane cover. Fuel leak is small but consistent.
So I`m quite sure that there are some other problem in fuel system - blocked fuel return, faulty pump? Please help with some ideas. Or probably I am just unlucky

I fitted a new FPR, which spewed diesel out after only 40 miles. ( fitted correctly )

Got a replacement, fitted and no probs since !.

I am considering to put new FPR but before that would like to be more or less sure that system function properly.
Fuel consumption and acceleration is ok, only pump is noisy, but I thought that electro motor is just close to finish or probably noise is generated by some problem? air bleed prob. blocked/limited fuel return, too big pressure?

I think prior fitting new FPR there are reasonable to air blow fuel return pipes, cooler? and have closer look to pump connections and mechanical elements


I am not very familiar with LR diagnostic systems, can diagnostic give some ideas in this problem?
