Fuel Sender Help

So I thought my gauge was nackered but think ive ruled that out as it reacts properly to all voltages on the bench supply.

So ive whipped out the sender unit.

If i put a meter across the contacts on the top with the ignition plugged in i get,

7.2V on Empty
0.3 V on Full

Is my Sender Foobarred or am i doing somthing wrong?

Sounds somewhere close.

Have you checked the continuity back to the gauge from the tank?

Yes have checked wiring,

12v to gauge.

Sender to ground

all buzzed out good.

connected wires to temp gauge and the temp gauge moves up and down if i manually change the sender.

however put the gauge on the bench supply and the gauge reacts to voltage from 3v to 12v

MEGA CONFUSED!

whats fault you have not just fitted so float catches stack pipe for fuel to pump feed etc

Gauge reads full constantly.

Had dash apart to fix mud console put back together gauge has since read full

must be guage end then ,live feed to guage then to sender to earth ,sounds like yours is going straight to earth
