Just wanted to a say what a useful thread this is. Just had this fault on our 56 plate TD4, went wrong yesterday, fixed now with new sensor and harness. Hardest bit of the whole job was finding one of those bloody screw shrouds that fell out when removing the pipework.

This kind of thing is what the internet is good for. Thanks all.

Hi is the wiring the same on the a 56 td4 ? just about to do this but there seems to be a issue with different wiring in the box end on later td4s
thanks in advance

Just a little update on a previous post where it was thought the ecu was fried… I can’t say for the other poster but back when mine was first fitted the car wouldn’t start and the fans came on, after panicking and reconnecting the old wiring and nothing happening it eventually started up again and I left the new loom replacement till I could get an Indy to do it (lost my bottle) anyway it got hooked up fine so issues with the connections may not have killed the ecu but just confused it and it went in safe mode…
