you see off you go again I'd like to see some one get a pump reconditioned for a £150 read back wammers. It was (my)pump that I had repaired but the electrics they don't fix they get new ones that's what I've tried explaining but you know everything a new one in a bosh box maybe it is
reconditioned by them ( Bosch) but it has a brand new top! Unlike refurbished ones ! From mail order or if you exchange yours or even get an injection pump Specialist to do it.Tell me a garage that does Servicing and repairs even main dealers that repair modern injection pumps I think not they get sent to people who can!

No watch my lips, i said REPAIR FOR £150.00 not refurbish. Of course they get sent to people who specialise in them, there are a few around here. Do you think it is rocket science to strip and refurbish a pump then put it on the test rig. Do you seriously think the part he quoted you £250.00 for was going to cost him that? Most if not all the VE pumps you buy now are refurbs i doubt if they are made anymore. Common rail took over a long time ago.

Probably overpriced yes but if you know of where to get one new let us all know as I've never found one to this day on any site other than a specialist .

Months/ time and mileage are two Different things

Trips to the local shop don't count

Trips to the shops here are a 50 mile round trip, trips to the UK tot up several hundred miles not to mention towing the caravan.
It has given me a total of 18 months breathing space to raise the cash for an uprated exchange box, so as far as I'm concerned it's a good product.

Have never looked for one. They will be like hobby horse ****. Even years ago the only time you saw a new pump was on a new vehicle. Injection pumps have been service exchange for a very long time. Why would anyone in their right mind pay for a new one when you can get a reconditioned one for less than half the price of new. Only time i can remember actually fitting brand new pumps was in the early days of rotary, when the DPA pumps used to fail for fun. That's because they were so new there were no refurbished units to fit, it was warranty work anyway. Everything else has always been a refurbished unit. Same with injectors. P 38 spares do a Bosch refurbished one for £799.99 bit steep but they are known for overpricing. A refurbished exchange from Diesel Bob last time i talked to him was around £600.00. Jones does them for £495.00 + a £100.00 refundable charge if it has not been tampered with. Or + £200.00 for outright buy. Fitting charges don't apply i would fit my own.
