Fuel Pump wiring question

Hallo could some nice knowledgeable P38 expert tell me if it is OK to run a 12 volt supply straight into the diesel fuel pump in the tank? I thought I saw somewhere a diagram that showed an inline resistor?

I am using it in an off-roader (dare I say it - not a range rover :jaw: )

Also what size fuse should I fit?

BTW I do have a 110 pick up so am not some foreign invader

As long as it's switchable there should not be a problem. Pre 99 uses 10 amp fuse, 99 on uses a 20 amp fuse in pump circuit.
