There I am, on holiday in Cornwall, wonderful weather, soft top folded down, all well with the world .......
cough, cough, splutter, coast to a halt beside the road with no life from the engine.
Tank full of petrol, battery absolutely fine, coolant fine - gotta be fuel then.

Nice man (Brian) from the AA to the rescue - fuel pump totally failed, 54,000 miles on the clock.

Towed to an industrial estate, outside a motor factor who had the pump in stock which Brian then fitted - total cost £258 for the part.

Manufactured by the same people who make the Land Rover (Ford) part but in a plain box so £100 cheaper!

OK, I could have fitted it myself, but my tools are in the Isle of Man. Good on the AA. Well worth the joining fee.
