Hi Guys

I have a Synergy Roverron fitted to my 2.0 TD4. We are having intermittent starting problems where it just will not catch even though it turns over.

This morning I disconnected the Synergy unit by the fuel pressure sensor and then reconnected it and the vehicle started immediately.

I am sure I have read somewhere about know problems with the Fuel pressure sensor wiring, and possibly a L/R service fault or replaceable part/kit for this.

Can anyone help?

It's also a common fault for the contacts on the pressure sensor to become dirty or corroded. Before you buy the harness just give the contacts a clean and run it without the synergy connected for a couple of days. if it runs ok clean the contacts on the synergy and try it again.
If it plays up once you reattached the synergy it's probably a faulty unit. Moisture can (it did in mine)get into them and over time cause a short on the circuit board or the data can become corrupt, although it should be covered under their warranty.

Thanks

I removed plug from sensor and the contacts are clean, tried contact cleaner on them a couple of days ago too....
Synergy is only 3 months old so would hope its not causing a problem yet! (Was upgraded to new unit to allow Pierburg MAF)

if it starts fine with the synergy off then the fault must be with the synergy wiring...have a close look at the connectors on the synergy as one wire in mine had backed out and was causing the same symptons as yours
