Hi, has anyone experienced the same or is it just mine, my fuel guage needle seems to have a mind of its own on a 3/4 full tank it will sometimes show 1/4 full and vise versa and any points in between does the needle stick much on any others and is it something I should get checked ?

Hi steve,

If the car is still under warranty you definitaly should have it checked/replaced, if out of warranty it's up to you whether you can keep track of the fuel and leave it as it is or else decide to have it checked/replaced at the price the dealer will ask for. Another option is to have a kind of long flexible plastic ruler you can push into the tank to see exactly what's left in it ? (Running out of fuel on a regular basis is not the best of options/solutions I'm afraid). Good luck.

Common problem - sender in the tank. We reset the odo every fill and refuel at 400km - easiest and cheapest fix.

Not a very good solution on a 4 year old vehicle but there are more urgent problems that have to be paid for before the fuel gauge for power windows that do not work are fixed.

Yes. we own a lemon.
