my fuel gauge stopped working on my 2002 td5 the mechanic has tested the sender in the tank and said its not that any ideas ?

has the mechanic just given up:doh:, theres not a lot to the system, a sender and a gauge and the wiring in between.

i think he has given up, he has had the dash off and had a look at the gauge. now the temp gauge dont read anything !
