Slowly fixing up my old 300Tdi . . . working on the electrics at the moment

This weekend saw me getting the interior lights working and sorting out the rear electric windows (I won't tell you how many fuses that took!)

One remaning problem has left me flumoxed though . . the fuel gauge steadfastly refuses to work . . . I had the dash off, cleaned out 10 years worth of crap . . checked every connection I could with a multimeter . . nothing seems to help . .

My last resort will be to check the sender unit, due to the level of decay in the rear (a job for the future) getting to it will require me to take an angle grinder to the screws . . .

Has anyone got any other ideas before I have to take such drastic action?

Cheers.
